If you are looking for the best filters for your Dodge Ram Cummins engine, I would use the Cummins Fleetguard filters. The Fleetguard filters are installed on all Cummins engines from the factory and have been tested through and through. I don’t know about you, but I would rather spend the extra $1 or $2 and get a better filter than save some money on cheap junk and end up trashing a component in the fuel system — or even worse, trashing the engine due to a particle causing the fuel injector to hang open and blow a hole in the piston. You could be talking about hundreds to thousands of dollars in repairs. It’s not uncommon to see a burnt hole in a 5.9L/6.7L piston. I have attached the Cummins Fleetguard filter compatibility chart, and will also include some links to the filters listed on our website. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anytime. Thanks for all your support and business!
LF16035
The Fleetguard LF16035 oil filter will fit 1989 - 2022 Dodge Cummins trucks. This filter has Fleetguard’s stratapore technology, a 30-micron efficiency rating, and a time-weighted average of 100%. The stratapore filters have a synthetic media, compared to cheaper filters which have a paper/cellulose media. The stratapore filters have a higher capacity to hold more contaminants.
LF3972
The Fleetguard LF3972 oil filter will also fit 1989 - 2022 Dodge Cummins trucks. This filter also has the stratapore technology, but only has a 95% efficiency rating at 30-micron.
